All the special details that went into Kayla + John’s day were so amazing to have the honor to capture.
As Kayla was getting ready in her dress, her sister/maid of honor helped button up the back as her mom pulled out Kayla’s “something borrowed”. Her mom latched Kayla’s great grandma’s pearl necklace around her neck and every one in the room was practically in tears. She didn’t originally plan on wearing it all day but once we all saw how perfectly it complimented her dress, she had too.
Shortly after, we headed outside to do first looks. Not only did Kayla have a first look with her almost Husband, but also with her bridesmaids, dad and her two brothers. It was so much fun getting to see all of their heartfelt reactions. No one there had a dry eye!
Kayla’s dad, John, was gifted a set of cufflinks with the words, “You’ll always be the first man I ever loved. 8.17.19” while the other had a picture of the two of them, Kayla sitting on her dads lap when she was little.
(Fun Fact: Kayla’s dad, grandpa, brother and husband are named John)
The ceremony was beautiful, and even though Father forgot to have these two kiss they walked right back in while everyone was still seated and did their own first kiss while everyone clapped and cheered.
At the reception there was no lack of dancing! One of my favorite things at a reception is the, the anniversary dance, followed John’s hilarious dance all the way to Kayla to take off her garter.
Thank you Kayla + John for letting be a part of your special day. It was so perfect!! I hope married life has been a dream!!
