In Home Couples Session in Waterloo

Michelle and Jon’s In Home Couples Session in Waterloo, Iowa

Here’s how we ended up on an in home couples session in Waterloo.. The first time I was supposed to meet Michelle and Jon was during my Christmas tree mini sessions last year. However, a few days beforehand, Michelle sent me a message saying that Jon had taken a nasty fall, which landed them in the ER. He suffered some knee injuries, but thankfully, he ended up being okay! While I’m so relieved that Jon is doing well, I was also glad we could still meet up afterward once Michelle let me know they were in the process of buying a new home.

We chatted for a bit and decided to do an in-home couples session in Waterloo to capture this exciting new chapter in their lives. When I say “new home,” I mean it literally—they signed the papers just the day before the session! In-home sessions are one of my favorite ways to capture couples in their own environment, where they feel most comfortable. Plus, who wouldn’t want to have beautiful photos in their new home to look back on? Not to mention how absolutely stunning their new home is with the wooden staircase and gorgeously timeless curb appeal.

I had so much fun with Michelle and Jon, and I’m so happy for them and their adorable pups! Their in-home session perfectly captured their joy and excitement for the future, and it was a privilege to document these special moments.
