The experience is intentionally relaxed and lightly guided so you can stay fully present while every meaningful moment is documented honestly and beautifully. This isn’t about performing for the camera all day. It’s about creating space for your wedding to actually feel like your wedding.

The best moments usually aren’t the perfectly posed ones.
They’re the in-between moments you didn’t even realize you’d want to remember forever, your mom fixing your veil, your friends screaming on the dance floor, your partner reaching for your hand without thinking about it.

filled with connection, movement, and the people who matter most

Your wedding day deserves to feel all your own

  • timeline guidance & keeping things flowing naturally
  • calming nerves before big moments
  • fixing veils, dresses, ties, and details
  • organizing family photos efficiently
  • helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera
  • carrying bouquets or fluffing dresses during portraits
  • building in space for quiet, meaningful moments
  • gently guiding when needed without over-posing
  • making sure you stay present instead of stressed

Throughout the day, i'm often helping with things like:

Because the best photos almost always happen when you feel relaxed enough to simply experience the day

A huge part of my role goes far beyond just taking photos. My goal is to help the day feel calm, natural, and fully enjoyed from beginning to end, stepping in where needed while also giving moments space to unfold honestly on their own.

Alex is AMAZING, and I can not speak highly enough about her! From the planning before the wedding to the day of, Alex is a quick responder and made our day run so smooth! She captured our day beautifully and intentionally and the photos are something we will cherish forever. We are so thankful she was apart of our day, thank you for making it so special!

Alex photographed our wedding and we could not be happier with how the photos turned out! Right when we met Alex, we felt comfortable in front of a camera. She was literally a fly on the wall during our wedding day and caught every single special moment on camera. I love that she focuses on capturing the little moments rather than posed photos. We’re able to relive our special day for the rest of our lives now, and for that, we are eternally grateful to Alex:)

Photos you take with Alex aren’t just photos, they are an experience. The lasting memories I will have looking at these photos of my children are priceless. I would recommend her 100x over and over!

Perfect. Most couples tell me this before their wedding day. My approach is intentionally relaxed and lightly guided so nothing feels overly posed or performative. I’ll guide when needed, but the goal is never to force moments, it’s to help you feel comfortable enough to actually be present together. The best photos usually happen once you stop worrying about looking “photogenic” and start focusing on each other instead.

we're akward in front of the camera..help!

01

Absolutely. Timeline planning is a huge part of the experience. I’ll help guide everything from lighting recommendations to building in enough breathing room so the day feels calm and unrushed. The best photos happen when there’s space for moments to naturally unfold instead of constantly racing the clock.

Do you help with timelines?

02

Over the years i've learned couples are happiest when they aren’t watching the clock all day. Full-day coverage allows the story to unfold naturally, from the quiet getting ready moments through the energy of the dance floor at the end of the night. It creates space for the day to feel fully experienced instead of tightly scheduled around photography.

how much coverage do we really need?

03

Absolutely. While based in Iowa, I photograph weddings throughout the Midwest and beyond (i've been to places like Florida,  California, Dominican Republic and more). I especially love documenting celebrations that feel intentional, personal, and deeply connected to the people and places that matter most to my couples.

Do you travel for weddings?

04

Yes, 35mm film is woven throughout every wedding gallery. There’s something about film that feels closer to memory: the grain, the softness, the imperfect little in-between moments. It adds a nostalgic layer that complements digital imagery beautifully.
