Jennifer and Sean got married at St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Vienna, Iowa. This church was immaculate.. When I pulled into the parking lot I was amazed at how gorgeous it was. When I stepped inside I was even more blown away by the details, the light, everything was perfect.
Jennifer and Sean’s wedding day was a perfectly overcast day. There were moments of worry about no sunset and downpour, but it ended up being the most perfect day, topped off with the most gorgeous sunset I’ve ever photographed. They got ready and had their first looks at Jennifer’s parents country home. Surrounded by friends and family, the scenery and charm was amazing.
From the start of the day to the end was filled with so much fun. After the ceremony, the bridal party hopped on a bus and went to Textile’s, which is a renovated brewery in Dyersville, Iowa. The building was built in 1906 to be a gasoline engine factory. It was a later converted into a sewing factory from 1910 – 2017. Everything in the taproom, minus the chairs and honed granite bar top, was found in the building when they bought it. Down to the details of the reception at the Beef Barn, filled with string lights, greenery and my favorite part.. Jennifer had her students write down what love meant to them, framed them and put them on the guest tables. Every part of the day was thought out and really showed how caring Jennifer, Sean and their friends and family are. It was the most perfect day despite COVID19, everyone showed up and supported them.
“Sean and I are both pretty romantic and love old time Sinatra when we’re cooking together or having a chill date night at home. We also have a wide array of music tastes. I’m a sucker for any classic Disney songs and together we listen to a lot of classic rock, Beatles, and Jack Johnson.
We met on match.com and had our first date at a local restaurant in Fort Dodge. After a 3hr meal, we knew we wanted to continue the date so we went bowling. Fun fact: we haven’t been bowling since that first date 😂
Both of our love languages are spending quality time together so we try to do that as much as possible. We love cooking together and trying out new dishes. We’re partial to Asian dishes and anything that’s spicy. We’re also huge into being outdoors (during nice weather)! We love hiking, camping, and boating. Both of our families own lake houses, so we spend nearly all of our summer time on the water.
We also love to travel. We’ve done weekend trips to Kansas City, Des Moines, and Minneapolis. We’ve done the Iowa waterfalls trip where we took 3 days and visited 8 waterfalls around eastern Iowa while camping in the parks. We’ve also done some longer road trips together to North Carolina and a backpacking trip to Colorado. We’re planning also planning on taking our first international trip together this year ☺️” – MRS.
